Miyawaki Forest Project

This is the first children’s forest conservation project done by Srushtidyan with Miyawaki Forest Conservation Method. Probably, this is the first in itself in Konkan Region. The project was implemented at Devrukh- Parshramwadi ZP School in Sangmeshwar Taluka of Ratnagiri District in Maharashtra. There were 300 forest tree saplings were planted in 1000 sq. ft. of land by applying revitalization projects to the soil. The result was very promising and visible of having the height of plants reaching to 15 feet within two years of span. The school children, teachers, parents, local leaders, and many other nature lover enthusiasts joined hands together to make this forest regeneration successfully. The project was supported by Navdrushti NGO with Dorf Ketal Chemicals India Pvt. Ltd.

The method of Miyawaki Forest Conservation is known in the name of Dr. Akira Miyawaki from Japan who invented the soil revitalization process to help the plants to grow ten times faster than the normal forest growth.
