Great Hornbill Protection:
Srushtidnyan has been working for the protection of the Great Hornbill bird. The habitat fragmentation in the forests of Sangmeshwar Taluka of Sahyadri Hill Ranges is leading to the fall down the population of this magnificent bird. It is very crucial and essential to save the hornbill nesting trees and also conserve the food plant trees by protecting the existing habitat as well as planting new trees. Currently Srushtidnyan is engaged in documenting pairs of hornbill. A scientist team of Sahyadri Sankalp Society is engaged in monitoring it with the help of CCTV camera documentation. This has helped in developing a scientific understanding on the conservation challenges to save the hornbills in the forests.
